SABIS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL 2002-2009 – Adma Lebanon

The landscaping is based on a series of terraced concrete-paved courtyards accessible through large stair flights leading to the kindergarten, the elementary and secondary school campuses, as well as, the administration building, the cafeteria and the performance hall, and an indoor basketball court and swimming pool. the buildings are developed on a steep land with a football field set at the lowest part of the plot and are related with covered passage ways integrated in the retaining walls. painted fair-faced concrete façades add colorfulness to the volumes. the perforamance hall building was integrated in the master plan and executed in 2006. the lower level has a cafeteria with 700 seats were as the charly saad performance hall, accessible from the upper level piazza seats 400 spectators . the performance hall is situated at a focal point with two directions set at an angle to follow the adjacent buildings. grand stairs lead to a glazed foyer with interior walls in fair-faced concrete and wood cladding. great care was taken in the choice of materials, colors and mainly concerning the acoustics and up to date equipment.
