MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS 2002 – Beirut Lebanon

The building stands as a distinctive entity, yet integrated in its environment and welcoming, thus, reflecting the image of the country and its distinguished guests, the modular facades offer a traditional aspect that respects the context and summon, as well, a contemporary look to the surroundings. the main courtyard open on four levels stands between the two rigid traditional blocks in continuation with a garden project by solidere on the neighboring plot. this negative space with its light metallic structure acts as a bridge joining in a cascade movement the different floors of the two buildings and allowing the banquet halls and the minister’s office to extend into planted terraces.
