MC BUILDING 2007 – Rmeil Lebanon

The project is located in a historical neighborhood of beirut, one of the first commercial but still livable areas. distinctive architectural elements are common to this area: wooden shutters, vegetation, gardens, and open or semi open stair wells. the project in this environment deals with three types of situations: – the urban façade, on the street, melts with the existing buildings. uncluttered façade with very dynamic openings and the use of full height shutters that moves according to its users, creating a lively façade. – on the lateral sides, vertical gardens, offering to the neighbors a green façade. – on the back, the invisible façade: glazed retractable paneling to unable the users to be in the heart of the existing garden.
