LIBRARY LEARNING CENTER 2008-2011 – Balamand Lebanon

The concept design of this building to be inserted in the middle of the balamand campus was established by sasaki associates inc. our office followed the evolution of the project and has now taken over to develop the final preliminary drawings as well as the tender documents. great care was taken in the setting of this building adjacent to an existing one while creating an interior covered courtyard of three stories. the main elevation was chosen between different alternatives to give a contemporary though classical look, avoiding monotony in the rhythm of the opening and creating an elegant gesture for this central campus landmark.
