The building housing multi-purpose venues for cultural activities detaches itself in its context and presents a main tilted elevation to the busy adjacent Beirut-tripoli highway. a sloped access square planted with olive trees and showcasing a cascading pool leads to the main entrance hall. the latter is totally glazed on a triple height offering a breathtaking transparency towards the sea and vistas on the exhibition spaces below. a glazed cafeteria atop of it opens to the south while a cylindrical auditorium is enclosed in an aluminum–clad parallel skin surrounded by peripheral cantilevered walkways. the structure reflects the internal functions of the building while transparencies show the inner movement and activities.
